AAMA President and CEO Beatrice G. Garza has been named to the 2014 Class of Women on the Move by Texas Executive Women (TEW). Since 1985, TEW has recognized annually 10 influential women who are making moves and empowering others in the Houston community with its annual Women on the Move luncheon. The luncheon is a fundraiser for the organization’s scholarship fund and mentoring programs.

“We are proud that others have recognized what we have known all along – Bea Garza is an exceptional woman who is truly committed to inspiring and empowering at-risk Latinos and improving our community,” said Terrance Ransfer, chair of the AAMA Board of Directors.

TEW notes that the 2014 honorees are a diverse group of exceptional women who have achieved “phenomenal levels of success while constantly contributing to the Houston community.”
