Participation in athletics, clubs and other school-related activities is an important part of the Sanchez Charter School model. We believe that these activities help strengthen the student-school connection and contribute to our students’ academic success.
Through extracurricular activities, students practice leadership and develop skills such as teamwork, responsibility, problem solving, communication and time management. Activities tied to existing interests help students improve their skills and develop deeper knowledge. Participating in new and different activities allows students to expand their knowledge, widen their horizons and discover hidden talents. And any of these activities may lead to a college or career path.
What’s important is that students continue learning and developing when the school day ends.
