On Thursday, April 2 two seniors from GIS Class of 2009 joined AAMA Board and Staff members at the annual luncheon hosted by the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
Over 1500 people attended the event at the Hilton Americas Hotel.  Here are the students' impressions:

Jessica Martinez
Senior Class President

"Attending this event was overwhelming, yet I felt like I belonged.  Though I am graduating high school and am just about to start the next major phase in my life I know I am going to be successful.  Seeing everyone's hospitality was inspiring because though life is full of challenges and competition there is still that sense of humbleness.  I thank the administration for giving me the honor of attending and adding a new experience in my life".

"A wonderful experience is all I can say.  It was so different to what I am used to getting.  Well, I have been getting good things recently, but not as good as that.  It was just so different.  The best part was getting to see how people network and the way one should dress for these types of events.  I really enjoyed it and hope others get this experience."
