AAMA (The Association for the Advancement of Mexican-Americans) was one of 41 nonprofits in 27 states to receive the 2017 “Opportunity for All” grant, the Starbucks Foundation announced Wednesday at Starbucks @ 1450 Gulfgate Center, Houston, TX.

AAMA’s Adelante program has been awarded this grant to provide customer service trainings to immigrants, refugees and students of need. Adelante supports adult learners with ESL and GED preparation courses. Additionally, Starbucks partners will become involved as volunteers to help students become job ready and develop skills so they may continue on the pathway of opportunity.
