On, Friday afternoon, May 19th, Sanchez Charter school eighth grade students were promoted to ninth grade.  The ceremony took place in the gymnasium of the AAMA Garza school building.  Giselle Easton, Sanchez Charter School principal, addressed the students, family members, and staff who were present to see the students awarded with their certificate of promotion.  In addition, Cresencia Hernandez, Sanchez senior, was the keynote speaker and encouraged the students to be proactive and to take their high school years seriously.  Students also participated in an eighth grade formal dance later that evening.
