Dear Friends of AAMA,
As the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey draws near, we cannot help but think back on the devastation that affected the entire greater Houston area. Houston was resilient and rose to the occasion in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Houstonians pulled together, neighbor helping neighbor, strangers helping strangers.
AAMA too stepped up to help the community. The week of the devastation, we sought supplies, setting up a temporary relief center with donated food, cleaning supplies, clothing and baby products. AAMA supported the recovery of 60 families who were impacted by the hurricane floods, distributing $63,000 in direct contributions ranging from $40 to $1,000.
Even now, people are still struggling from the effects of the tragedy. AAMA understands that many still suffer, and we are here to support our families and the community.
