Houston, TX – 7/02/2018 – The 2018 Illumine Gala benefitting (AAMA) the Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans will be held Friday, October 19, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Hilton Houston Post Oak (2001 Post Oak Blvd). The program will recognize posthumously beloved friend and AAMA board member, Raul Dominguez. This black-tie event will include dinner, auction and dancing to band Grupo KaChe.

Last year, the Illumine Gala raised more than $250,000 to further AAMA’s work of empowering individuals to realize their full potential. This year AAMA’s goal is to raise $350,000 to create a better future for students and families in our community. AAMA serves 13,000 people each year, including nearly 900 students at two Sanchez charter schools, individuals who seek to recover from addictions, and those who participate in our adult classes for workforce development and career pathways. These efforts are possible due to the support of the Houston community.
