AAMA receives Starbucks’ Community grant

AAMA (The Association for the Advancement of Mexican Americans) was one of 47 nonprofits to receive the 2018 “Opportunity for All” grant, The Starbucks Foundation announced recipients on Thursday, August 23^rd.

AAMA’s Adelante program has been awarded this grant to support its workforce development program that focuses on education, workforce readiness, and leadership development for youth. Adelante supports adult learners with ESL and GED preparation courses. Additionally, Starbucks partners will become involved as volunteers to help students become job ready and develop skills so they may continue on the pathway of opportunity.
